In tempi di incertezza — sia essa sociale, politica o economica — solo quegli architetti il cui lavoro è influenzato dal mondo che li circonda sentono una certa ansia.
Al contrario, coloro che cercano con tutte le loro forze di definire il mondo che li circonda sono i più resistenti e continuano pazientemente a lavorare, rifiutando l’opportunistico dogma dell’accettazione passiva solo per sopravvivere.
L’architettura non è un servizio. La nostra giovinezza — anagrafica e certamente intellettuale — ci lascia ancora credere di poter riuscire a resistere alla possibilità di essere prestatori di servizi contro la volontà di diventare creatori. Costruendo costruiamo noi stessi, progetto dopo progetto. L’architettura è una passione e una continua scelta intellettuale.
Abbiamo raccolto tre immagini che possano riassumere la nostra idea sul concetto di resilienza, o meglio resistenza. Queste iconografie arrivano indifferentemente dal nostro Pantheon culturale o dal nostro archivio di riferimenti pop, e sono alcune tra le idee che teniamo a mente quando riflettiamo su noi stessi come architetti.

In times of uncertainties — either social, political and economical — only those architects whose work is defined by the surrounding world feel a certain pressure. Instead, those who strive to define the world around them are the most resistant and they continue to work patiently, declining the opportunistic dogma of accepting everything just to survive.
Architecture is not a service. Our youth — both chronological and intellectual — allows us to trust that we can still resist the possibility of being mere service providers against the will of being creators. By building we are building ourselves, project after project. Architecture is a passion and a reflected choice.
We have collected three sources that we think could convey our understanding of the concept of resilience, or in broader terms of resistance. These images are picked out from of our cultural Pantheon as well as our archive of pop references and are amongst the ideas that we keep in mind when we think about ourselves as architects.
